When it comes to mobile gaming, a laptop is an excellent choice as it allows a user to play their favorite games anywhere. While desktop PC’s larger size allows more room for hardware and makes upgrading more straightforward, laptops currently come out with higher performance than most basic desktop computers, although they do cost quite a bit. One of my favorites is the Razer Blade Pro. This laptop features a 2.6GHZ Intel Core i7-6700 processor, 32GB of RAM, a 512 GB SSD, and a powerful Nvidia Geoforce GTX 1080 graphics card. While this laptop both looks and performs fantastic, it costs around a whopping $2,299.99.
These same performance figures can be met for much cheaper using a desktop PC. However, mobility would be reduced. Of course, one does not need such an expensive laptop model to play most games currently available on the market. When choosing which laptop is right for you, several areas need attention, starting with its graphics card. Currently, Nvidia is the top choice for cards, and due to the intense performance requirements some games currently have and VR applications, you should try to make sure the card that comes in your laptop will not become quickly outdated.
For the display, laptops can range from around 15-17 inch displays, and you should simply figure out how big of a screen you like and how heavy of a computer you can put up with. As far as memory goes, an SSD is an excellent choice by itself or used in conjunction with an HHD. An SSD provides faster speeds, higher reliability, and less power use. How much should you spend? However, it is really up to you to remember that upgrading laptops are not as easy as desktops, so going with the more expensive model might be the best choice.
With proper research, you should be able to select a laptop that can easily handle all of your gaming needs, no matter where you go.
