The future of Microsoft networking is going to play a significant role in the advancement of technology and the way we do business. Microsoft Office will develop into a shared workspace experience, where we can all work and share our Word documents and Excel spreadsheets. Due to the diminishing health of our planet, Microsoft’s AI for Earth program will use the power of artificial intelligence to help promote sustainability and join like-minded individuals and organizations. Cloud computing holds a major role in the current level of technology, and this will become even more so in the future. Due to this, Microsoft Azure and Nano Server will handle Cloud infrastructure as well as applications. Dynamics 365 will offer a plethora of new advancements and extend the PC experience to mobile devices, which are becoming more widely used every day. With the growing rate of the Internet of Things (IoT), the connectivity of multiple platforms is required, and through the use of open source platforms such as .Net Core 1.0, the future of Microsoft networking and connectivity appears to be intelligent, flexible, and prepared to revolutionize the computing world.
In this world full of billions of people, all who share different ideas and perspectives, networking is key to being able to share the collective knowledge needed to progress technology into the next generation. Microsoft understands this well and is already aiding this process by connecting us all with its many areas of computer networking. The future of Microsoft regarding its networking technology holds many exciting changes and advancements. Microsoft Office will progress into a shared workspace experience by integrating social circles into spreadsheets and Word documents. “AI for Earth” is a new program by Microsoft that will use the power of artificial intelligence to help solve the environmental challenges we all face. Microsoft Nano Server is a new headless, 64-bit deployment option for Windows Server 2016 that handles cloud infrastructure and applications. Microsoft Azure and Dynamics 365 will undergo many changes as well as to enable users to work from anywhere, reduce IT costs, and extend the PC experience to mobile devices as well. Microsoft Azure (code-named Red Dog), is Microsoft’s operating system for cloud computing. Although Microsoft is committed to Windows, they have also made significant steps towards shaping the future for Linux and Mac OS as well. Microsoft recently released the open source .Net Core 1.0, which will help bring Ubuntu to Windows 10. Windows works with many companies such as Red Hat and Suse, to support their growth and functionality with Windows. The future of Microsoft looks bright and fully ready to carry us into the next generation of technology.
One of the main areas of Microsoft networking involves Microsoft Office. The next update, Microsoft 2019, will begin previewing its new products around the middle of 2018. Microsoft Office includes Office apps such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook, which provides the user with a plethora of tools to use when creating spreadsheets, word documents, and presentations. Office 2019 will usher us into the next generation of the computing world by offering new features such as new inking attributes such as tilt effects, ink replay, and pressure sensitivity. This will allow the user to work more naturally. Excel, Microsoft’s spreadsheet utility, will gain new charts, as well as formulas; these both will make Excel more powerful. PowerPoint will also enjoy new animation features such as Zoom and Morph. Microsoft Outlook, an email application, will include updates to make it more manageable and secure, as well as add voice commands to enhance usability. Due to Cloud computing’s rising popularity, Office 2019 will use it to its advantage by migrating to a shared workspace experience, however, will offer new user capabilities for those who are not Cloud-ready. In the progression to a connected-world, Office 2019 will integrate social circles into spreadsheets and Word documents. This next generation of Office will connect us all, and only by joining together can we indeed make the world a better place.

Microsoft’s Ventures, a program developed to advance and obtain startup companies in the fields of artificial intelligence, security, and cloud infrastructure, have added two key additions to Microsoft’s portfolio. Agolo and Bonsai, both emphasize using the influence of artificial intelligence to alter the world. Agolo, a New York-based company, creates some of the world’s most progressive summarization software. This company’s artificial intelligence can examine and yield thousands of documents in real time, all while providing advanced analysis of the information. Bonsai, based in Berkeley, California, mechanizes businesses which deal with the progressive and multifaceted automation of machine learning algorithms. One of Bonsai’s main characteristics is to democratize artificial intelligence. Both companies will be a major influence in Microsoft networking of the future.
Artificial intelligence is vital for developing a unified and intellectual network. The world needs a keen network which can learn the habits of its users and adapt to new security concerns. Voice recognition is a prevalent aspect of today’s networks as Microsoft’s Cortana, Amazon’s Alexa, and Google’s Home provide their users with the additional functionality and usability by permitting their users to control and retrieve information and applications by using a simple voice command. With the artificial intelligence of future networks, they will know what you wish to do with it before you even have the chance to issue a command. With a program that learns with you, the network can interpret your desires using saved information such as the time of day of use, frequently access applications, and can even use facial recognition to determine identity. All of this is achievable with a smart and flexible network, and Microsoft plans on using artificial intelligence to change the world of networking.
In today’s day and age, environmental issues are a massive concern as global warming and disastrous weather are threatening us all. While finding solutions to these problems seems to be impossible using only the minds of our top scientists and engineers, it is likely that something that is made by these experts can help. A fascinating program, AI for Earth, is a new program by Microsoft that will use the power of artificial intelligence to help solve the environmental challenges we face. With the help of partnerships and aiding ongoing projects throughout the world, Microsoft plans to focus on sustainability. Through the Microsoft Azure for Research AI for Earth Award Program, researchers and groups can gain access to Microsoft’s powerful Cloud computing resources to further advance their research. Education is a major part of AI for Earth as organizations must learn how to properly use artificial intelligence. The four major areas of focus for AI for Earth are agriculture, water, biodiversity, and climate change. An example of how this technology can help is Land Cover Mapping. By using Azure and focused machine learning, water can we conserved and used more efficiently to grow crops; this is accomplished by monitoring and managing information retrieved through satellite images and water usage/rain amount statistics. Project Premonition is another program that included AI for Earth. Its purpose is to detect pathogens before they cause outbreaks. Infectious diseases are an always growing threat to the future of our planet, and as time continues, our resistance to them as well as our medicine will become obsolete. Project Premonition will turn mosquitoes into devices which will collect the data required to study and prevent these outbreaks. By using drones, mosquitos will be captured and collected, and then analyzed. By using advanced AI computing, this data can help scientists and experts develop new ways of preventing the spreading of diseases as well as curing them. Microsoft’s Nano Server will deliver the agility and speed that is required for use in Cloud computing and artificial intelligence. Compared to older versions of Windows Server, Nano offers a small footprint and can be remotely managed. While server updates can be time and resource consuming, Nano claims to require very few and even better resource utilization. Per Microsoft, Nano Server has a 93% lower VHD size, 80% fewer reboots, and 92 percent fewer critical bulletins (Microsoft, 2015). Nano Sever will be API-compatible and will not require local login or even remote desktop support. By using Nano’s intelligence, many of the difficult tasks of older versions of Microsoft Servers will be merely to complete. This new server will boost the performance, reduce resource usage, and promote the potential for business growth.
In the future, Microsoft Azure Stack will enable a continuous development for Cloud and traditional applications. Azure will use a combination of on-premises and Cloud deployments and Stack will speed development with DevOps tools, and open-source components. It also allows the user to switch to the Cloud on their terms by choosing the best hybrid deployment that works for them. Hybrid Clouds are desired for the future due to their ability to permit customers to effortlessly manage and employ Cloud computing, as technology or their own network enlarges or changes figure. As the IoT (Internet of Things) increases, these devices must be able to be linked to one another and do so both logically and securely. A key development in this area is the general availability of SQL Server 2017 on October 2, 2017. SQL Server 2017 uses Red Hat Enterprise Linux to further extend the capabilities of SQL Server in the areas of performance, security features, manageability, and reliability.

There are 2 editions of Dynamics 365; business and Enterprise. The Business Edition is intended for small to medium-sized businesses and is derived from Project Madeira. The Enterprise Edition of Dynamics 365 is envisioned for organizations well above 250 employees. This edition supports cloud and on-premise delivery. Within the Enterprise Edition, there are 2 new platform tools. PowerApps, a mobile service used for creating device agnostic business apps using a visual designer, features many cloud services to deliver quicker connections. Microsoft Flow, a new workflow management tool, facilitates the automation process using a library of services and a visual design tool to help configure and orchestrate the movement of data through non-Microsoft and Microsoft products. With these changes to Dynamics 365, the future of Microsoft networking appears to be centered around artificial intelligence and the many advantages it gives us.
Although Microsoft is committed to Windows, they have also made significant steps toward shaping the future for Linux and Mac OS as well. Microsoft recently released the open source.Net Core 1.0, which will help bring Ubuntu to Windows 10. This cross-platform and open source platform will aid in creating microservices and modern web apps. The .Net framework will evolve with Windows and cross-platform clouds and mobile platforms throughout the coming years in ways we cannot even imagine. The .Net foundation is growing rapidly, as companies such as Samsung have recently joined and begun contributing to it. .NetCore 1.0 provides many advantages such as cross-platform compatibility; it can run on Windows, Mac OS, and Linux. It is also very flexible as it can be included in your app or installed side-by-side or even machine-wide. Additionally, .Net Core 1.0 can be managed by the command line and is compatible with Xamarin, Mono, and.Net Framework by using the .NET Standard Library. Since it is open source, multiple organizations can use it and aid in its progress. Finally, .NET Core is supported by Microsoft, so it is safe to say that its future will be promising.
The future of Microsoft networking is set to be a fascinating one. With the many changes to Microsoft Office, we already see a significant rise in the connectivity and productivity of the world. AI for Earth seeks to aid our dying planet by allowing multiple organizations to communicate together and develop new methods of promoting sustainability by using the impressive power of artificial intelligence. Microsoft’s Nano Server will deliver the speed and agility required by cloud applications, all while providing lower resource consumption. Additionally, Dynamics 365 will enable lower IT costs and boost productivity in business by using new, more efficient methods of solving tasks and providing the many advancements that cloud computing and artificial intelligence provides us. Cloud computing will soon be as widely used as the Internet, and will through the many changes to Microsoft Azure, we will see a future that is seamlessly connected. To advance our future, we must first advance ourselves. By joining together through open source platforms such as .Net Core 1.0, we can all work together to provide a more advanced and prosperous future for the next generation. Networking is critical in the future of our species as well as our planet, and Microsoft is prepared to provide us with the technology and capabilities to accomplish this.
